Everybody Needs Help

A big part of our 50-year history has been building a community for suicide loss survivors to connect and find healing together. In 2013, Sue shared how our grief support services helped her cope with the loss of her brother.

Having someone in our lives die by suicide can be one of life’s most painful experiences. The feelings of loss, sadness, loneliness, and even anger experienced after any death are often elevated in suicide grief.

It was about…all of the people who loved and cared about them coming together because they wanted people to know you’re not alone.

Through the resources Samaritans offers, whether that be grief support, events like the annual 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention, or just creating more awareness around the topic of suicide, suicide loss survivors like Sue can find support, resources, and community.
