Support Our Mission

Samaritans’ lifesaving services are not possible without the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and government funding. Our incredible donors understand that the urgency of suicide as a public health crisis requires the funding necessary to provide free programming to our community.

In fact, 70% of our revenue comes from individual donors. That means your donation, no matter the size, is part of a movement that helps us to train our 24/7 Helpline volunteers, host suicide prevention workshops, and hold peer support groups for those bereaved by a loss to suicide.

Amplify Our Suicide Prevention Efforts

When you donate to Samaritans, your generosity helps thousands of people find hope in the face of depression, loneliness, and grief. Your gift provides care, compassion, and support.

Supporting Foundations

Community foundations and grants are also critical to supporting our mission. We are so grateful for the many organizations who take a stand for suicide prevention to support their communities.

Our Role in Suicide Prevention

At Samaritans, we aim to reduce the incidence of suicide, educate the public about suicide prevention, help those who have lost a loved one to suicide, and reduce the stigma. To do this, our services emphasize nonjudgmental and compassionate listening. We provide a 24/7 Helpline, peer support for people who are grieving a loss to suicide, and suicide prevention workshops. Samaritans provides our lifesaving programs throughout Greater Boston and MetroWest Massachusetts. Our services are free and confidential.
