5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention

Honor Our Loved Ones Lost to Suicide

The 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention is Samaritans’ largest annual event. More than 2,500 runners, walkers, volunteers, and spectators gather together in celebration of life. The 5K provides an important sense of community for suicide loss survivors and creates a space for us to remember our loved ones lost to suicide. You can be a part of this incredible day.

All proceeds help fund Samaritans’ lifesaving services, including our 24/7 Helpline, suicide prevention workshops, and grief support services for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Because of events like the 5K, Samaritans is able to make these vital services available to the community free of charge.

Save the date for the 2021 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention on September 25!

We offer several sponsorship levels to promote your organization to the community at our event.

“For many of us, this walk has been something to look forward to every year as a time to remember our dear friends, while also raising money in hopes that we can prevent just one person from taking their own life and many others from feeling the pain of that action.  It is also a time to spend with good friends and family and share stories and memories that we will all never forget.”
