Suicide does not discriminate… anyone can be at risk of depression or suicidal thoughts. Unfortunately, many people struggle to reach out for help, in part because of the stigma associated with mental illness and suicide. It’s time to break the silence!

Please join the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts’ Dr. J. Keith Motley, Consultant President & CEO and Joseph D. Feaster, Jr., Board Chairman; Kathleen C. Marchi, President & CEO of Samaritans Inc.; and Dr. Mathieu Bermingham, Medical Director, Children Services of Roxbury & Founder, Metro-West Center for Well Being for a discussion on ”Suicide Prevention and Mental Health in the Black Community.”

Samaritans’ Community Education and Outreach team will provide a workshop covering suicide risk factors and warning signs, and steps to help someone who is struggling. These conversations can be challenging so we aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for discussion.
