Team March for Marisa – 5K Friday

It’s funny how your entire life can change in a split second. I wish I did more – I wish I asked her to talk to me more, I wish I listened more, I wish I tried to help her in different ways, I wish…

Marisa Donatelli: Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, Best Friend, Confidant, Prayer Warrior…

My mom was a one-of-a-kind individual. There isn’t a single word that can truly encompass or embody the type of person she was. A woman that thought of God, family, and friends before herself. She would be the first person to drop what she is doing to help someone else. She was a good listener, a caring heart, and a loyal friend.

The Serenity Prayer has always resonated with me. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference.” It’s hard for me to accept that my Mom is no longer here with me. And while I can’t bring her back, I know that I can make a difference in the lives of other individuals and families in need of support.

I created Team March for Marisa last fall in memory of my mom who we lost in June of 2018. I’m hoping to raise even more awareness and funding for Samaritans, Inc. this year and would love your help. Please consider donating to or joining Team March for Marisa.

I am certain that our active role in suicide prevention will make a difference in the lives of many individuals and families. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME KEEP MY MOTHER’S LEGACY ALIVE!
