Having someone in our lives die by suicide can be one of life's most painful experiences. The feelings of loss, sadness, loneliness, and even anger experienced after any death are often elevated in suicide grief.
Join us at the State House to celebrate 50 years of lifesaving suicide prevention work and advocate for Samaritans.
Our Boston Marathon® team started out with two runners in 2007, and now raises more than $200,000 each year! All proceeds help fund Samaritans’ life saving services, including our 24/7 Helpline, suicide prevention workshops, and grief support services.

Samaritans SafePlace meetings provide a forum for suicide loss survivors to explore feelings not often understood by others. This meeting is held on the last Tuesday of each month. The group is open to people of any religious background.

This SafePlace suicide grief support group is open to LGBTQ+ people who have lost someone to suicide and those who have lost an LGBTQ+ person. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month.
