Kennedy's Wicked Long Walk

Support Kennedy’s Wicked Long Walk to raise awareness of youth mental health

Kennedy Elsey is a board member at Samaritans, and she is walking 11 miles along Washington Street in support of our suicide prevention work:

Hi, my name is Kennedy and you know me from Karson & Kennedy on Mix 104.1 and for my big mouth when it comes to talking about mental health! My life looks pretty shiny on the outside, but inside it was not so pretty. When I finally realized that my depression was winning I reached out to Samaritans and they helped me change that. Now I am a loud voice for others – especially our young folks.

On Tuesday, August 6th, I’m taking a Wicked Long Walk to bring attention to the mental health of our young people! Washington Street is one of the longest streets in Boston, and I will start at the Natick/Wellesley line and end at the Brookline Library in Brookline Village, passing through Newton, Brighton, Allston, and Brookline along the way!

I’m walking every one of these miles to support youth-focused suicide prevention work, including Hey Sam, a program of Samaritans that provides peer-to-peer mental health text support for people up to 24 years old.

My goal is to raise $5,000 for youth mental health, but I can’t get there without your support. Make your donation TODAY to help me reach my goal and support the lifesaving work of Hey Sam and Samaritans. Follow along on the 6th as I make my Wicked Long Walk!
