Donor Spotlight: David and Kay D’Orlando

Nearly 20 years ago, David and Kay D’Orlando were deeply moved when they learned about Samaritans. They knew they wanted to be part of the community and help make a difference. “Our hearts ache for people who are in a dark place,” says David. “We want to help, and we know that Samaritans brings people light and the will to carry on with purpose.”

The D’Orlandos have supported Samaritans since making their first gift in 2007. Their contributions helped us transition to a hybrid work model, supported upgrades to our technology and infrastructure, and funded a critical website revamp. Beyond their generous philanthropy, they have played a key role in advancing our campaign.

“It’s all about conversations,” adds David. “When people talk to people, it can help them get through the difficult moments in life.”

Samaritans is an organization with true soul and compassion.
