DESCRIPTION:This SafePlace suicide grief support group is open to LGBTQ+ people who have lost someone to suicide and those who have lost an LGBTQ+ person. The group is led by LGBTQ+ facilitators who have experienced suicide loss. \nSamaritans SafePlace meetings are groups of caring people who have someone one to suicide. Meetings provide a forum for suicide loss survivors to explore feelings not often understood by others. \nSafePlace is not a professional therapy group\, but rather a peer support group offering nonjudgmental listening\, peer connection\, and shared understanding. It offers a chance to share helpful resources\, and to give and get support through the long process of grieving.
