DESCRIPTION:A family-centered class designed to help children ages 5–12 and their caregivers explore feelings of suicide loss through the comforting act of cooking together. DESCRIPTION:Canton SafePlace meetings for anyone who has experienced a loss to suicide take place on every third Thursday of every month. These meetings offer a chance to suicide loss survivors to heal together in community. \nLosing someone to suicide is a painful and difficult experience. Samaritans SafePlace meetings provide a forum for suicide loss survivors to explore feelings not often understood by others. Meetings are facilitated by trained volunteers who have lost someone to suicide. \nSafePlace is not a professional therapy group\, but rather a peer support group offering nonjudgmental listening\, peer connection\, and shared understanding. It offers a chance to share helpful resources\, and to give and get support through the long process of grieving. Meetings are free\, ongoing\, and drop-in. \n\n\n\nMeetings are held: \n\n\n\n\nThird Thursday of every month\n\n\n\n7:00 – 8:30 pm ET\n\n\n\nCanton Community Center\, 92 Pleasant St. Canton\, MA 02021\n\nSamaritans SafePlace groups are open anyone\, to regardless of race\, ethnicity\, age\, gender\, religion\, sexual orientation\, gender identity\, gender expression\, disability\, economic status and other diverse backgrounds. \nRSVP \n
