Your company can help us prevent suicide and assist in elevating the the immense expense that this issue bears on the American workforce by sponsoring a Samaritans event. Sponsoring Samaritans will not only create goodwill, it is also a smart business move.

Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in the United States, and the second leading cause of death for those under the age of 18. The majority of suicides in the United States occur in the middle-age population, with 85% of those deaths occurring among the nation’s workforce. In Massachusetts, 16% of those who took their own life had a job related problem – such as increased pressure at work, feared or recent layoff, and/or financial troubles.
