A Wet - but Really Great - Day to Be Alive!

The rain couldn't overshadow the incredible spirit of community we shared on Saturday, October 3, 2009 for our most successful (and dampest!) 5K ever! When staff and more than 100 event volunteers arrived at Artesani Park, we were saddened by the increasingly dreary weather and its potential effect on attendance at the event. The people started showing up - and up, and up, and up! Nearly 1,200 people pre-registered for the event - and most of the joined us. Another 200 turned out to register the day of to make it a very special day.
